When students are thinking of traveling in college, they're think of Europe, South America and other abroad destinations. With so many options for traveling abroad to choose from, many students don't think to see what the travelling opportunities are in the United States, the national parks. My sister decided to take her undergrad at The University of Montana, and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to drive there at the end of the school year. There were so many different travel destinations and landmarks that were seen on the road, but the national parks are something that cannot be compared to anything I have ever seen, including traveling abroad. It is an untouched piece of our country that is something everyone should experience at least once in their life, and there are so many to choose from.
With there being 47 national parks, I was only lucky enough to visit 7 which included Badlands, Yellowstone, Glacier, Redwood, Yosemite, Grand Teton and Rocky Mountain. None of these parks in any way are better than the other, there were just many factors that made certain places more favorable to me than others. Here are my 3 once in a lifetime road trip destinations.
